Christmas day 2009

Amelie LOVES Austin. She seems to really connect with males. Watch out!!!
What would we do without Oliver helping grandpa with all his presents?

Our humble little Christmas tree this year. No decorations with dad's back out of commition.

Grandpas Wii!-- Oliver's remote truck. It's supposed to be for 8 year olds, but Oliver just loved this thing!!!

balloons to Heaven

I got this great idea from my mom for Christmas eve. I bought a bakers dozen of white helium balloons. We thought of things to send up to heaven, prayers, hopes, past problems, etc.
Oliver took the lead. His mom and dad suggested "NO MORE TANTRUMS"!!!

Becky chose, "Excercise more faith."
We all thought of different things including prayers for Uncle Phil and Aunt Kathy.
Then Oliver said, "Bye bye balloons. Go up to Heavenly Father!" And they did!

Here is a video of part of the concert Jamie took me to. We had fun and I really enjoyed the music. He only did rock stuff for a short while, then it was all Christmas music. i really love his Christmas C/D Jamie gave me.

Laura's first area

I just got a call from President Perriton, Laura's mission president. He said they have been awaiting Laura for some time now. His son was in Laura's ward and so when Laura got her call she called this boy right away to find out all the scoop. So they have heard all about Laura and the great girl she is. They are very excited to have her in the mission and can see that she is very prepared for this mission and soooo ready to go! She has an american girl for her first companion who is the mission's expert on the language. Her name is Sister Moynahan so once again they'll be two Irish sisters together. Her P-Day is on Thursdays and so we will recieve her e-mails on Weds. nights. She is going southwest to a suburb of Gwangju called Song-Jong. So we should hear from her next week since she is travelling today to her new area. Can't wait!! She did call us from LAX on Monday just before she boarded the plane to Korea. She had only 15 minutes to talk. She sounded excited and good. It was just her and sister O'Brien traveling together. She will be an awesome sister! We are so proud of her.
