Our freedoms, our fathers

All over San Clemente the marine flag flies! It is quite the marine town. It always brings tears to my eyes when I think of the service and sacrifice our own Bill Coats gave to us and our country in Iwo Jima. How proud I am to have him as a father, father-in-law and grandfather to my children! We can never say "thank you" enough. There are not words adequate to express our deep gratitude for him and all others like him for thier service, not to mention how doubly blessed we are to add to his service that of Hoyt Kelley who fought for years on the front lines as a paratrooper in Europe risking his life on a daily basis, enduring unspeakable actions and horrors. We love you both so much! Thank you forever.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Becky and Laura made dad his birthday cake.

San Clemente Inn

I bought this timeshare for 1$ last spring. All I had to pay was the 1$ plus the maintenence fee of 435.00. The place rents out for 135.00 per night, so I think we got a great deal. It's very old and small, but it is a great setting, and who doesn't love the beach? Tomorrow Becky, Ryan, Andrea, Devin and all the Knudsens will be down here. Becky got a campsite at the campground behind the timeshare. It should be fun.
